چکیده

Non-healing wounds are a global health problem. Substances that enhance cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and prevention of bacterial infections accelerate the wound healing process. In this study, potential Ziziphus oenoplia, is investigated for its ability in antibacterial potential. The proliferation enhancement (mean percent closure) angiogenic response vascular index) hexanes, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, methanol extracts leaf bark Z. oenoplia were evaluated by scratch assay (SWA) using Madin-Darby Canine Kidney (MDCK) cells chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) assay, respectively. activity these was against Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa disc diffusion method. Enhanced shown acetate hexanes extract bark. An enhanced leaves Dichloromethane both showed considerable P. which less susceptible to common antibiotics. SWA-directed fractionation has resulted isolation identification an active fraction showing mean closure 86.4% (positive control 90.2%) index 34.5 48.6). This contained lupeol, α-amyrin, β-amyrin, hexacosanol, octacosanol. present study provides supportive evidence oenoplia.

Wound healing with electric potential.

The efficient and effective repair of damaged tissue is fundamental to human survival. Wound repair has therefore challenged generations of health care providers, and various strategies have been used to accelerate and perfect the healing process. One such strategy has involved the application of an exogenous electrical stimulus to chronic wounds with the aim of instigating electrotaxis (also c...

Therapeutic Potential of Plants in Wound Healing

Introduction Wound is defined simply as the disruption of the cellular and anatomic continuity of a tissue (Bennet 1988). Wound may be produced by physical, chemical, thermal, microbial or immunological insult to the tissue. The process of wound healing consists of integrated cellular and biochemical events leading to reestablishment of structural and functional integrity with regain of strengt...

Dietary L-arginine and cutaneous wound healing.

Skin wound healing has been the subject of extensive studies and various drugs have been used in an attempt to improve wound healing. There are conflicting data regarding the effects of L-arginine, the substrate of nitric oxide, on wound healing. We examined the 1-week rate of cutaneous wound healing and collagen deposition in three groups of rats who received a (1) L-arginine (2% in drinking w...

Wound healing activity of the flowers of Lilium candidum L. in burn wound model in rats

Background: Ethnomedicinal plants are of interest for treatment of various wound types. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate burn wound healing potential of the hydro-alcoholic extract of the flowers of Lilium candidum L. in rats. Methods: DPPH free radical scavenging power, total flavonoids, and the phenolic content of the extract were evaluated. Following burn wound induction, 30 Wistar ra...

Evaluation of the wound healing potential of Albizzia lebbeck (L.) bark

The present study was performed to substantiate the traditional claim of the wound healing activity of stem bark of Albizzia lebbeck Linn. in rats. The effects of aqueous and ethanolic extracts of stem bark of A. lebbeck (5% and 10% w/v topically and 250 mg/kg and 500 mg/kg p.o.) on excision, incision and dead space wound model were examined. The extracts were administered orally for 10 days fo...
